This online summer symposium is an opportunity to reflect on the lessons learned and share best practices by focusing on one of the first and most trying challenges of global learning exchanges; building relationships and empathy. During this symposium, participants will learn the practical and theoretical foundations for establishing relationships among students and instructors, across culture, language, and borders. They will engage with and learn new activities and tools that can facilitate their work in this arena. Just as importantly, this will be an opportunity for them to connect with international colleagues for future collaborations.
