Virtual Event: The Weaponization of Sexual Atrocities in Israel
Tuesday, June 25, 2024 12pm to 1:30pm
About this Event
During its savage invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023, Hamas committed unimaginable sexual atrocities. Although Hamas reportedly documented many of these barbaric brutalities and boasted about them, much of the world, including the United Nations, initially ignored, denied, belittled or dismissed them. Even major women's organizations, purportedly dedicated to promoting the welfare of women, covered their eyes. Indeed, some still do so. This program examines Hamas' weaponization of sexual atrocities, critiques the world's response, and examines how such vicious and inhuman crimes can be prevented.
